Ramo di Gola Gorropu West
Sardinia
The western approach to Gola Gorropu from Dorgali crosses the Supramonte limestone plateau — one of the wildest and most disorienting limestone karst plateaux in the Mediterranean. The path involves route-finding on bare rock before descending into the canyon from above. The 500 m sheer walls of the Gorropu are reached from this side in solitude.
