Monte Cofano Reserve

Monte Cofano (659 m) is a perfect limestone cone rising from the sea near Trapani. The coastal circuit passes a 17th-century tuna tonnara (now a museum), a Neolithic cave used 6,000 years ago and extraordinary limestone sea platforms for swimming. The Cofano nature reserve has the largest colony of Bonelli's eagles in Sicily.
