Monte Carpegna

Carpegna (1,415 m) rises above the borgo of the same name, its top a rolling sheep pasture ringed by beech. Paths and the old ski meadows lead to the Cippo — the memorial to the cyclist Marco Pantani — and the summit ridge, from where the Sasso Simone, the Adriatic and the whole Marche-Romagna Apennine are laid out.
