Monte Barbeston, Mont Avic

Aosta Valley

From Champdepraz or the Col de Joux a long pasture path climbs through the mountain-pine forests of the Mont Avic park to the summit chapel of Monte Barbeston. Because it stands out on the southern side of the main valley, the view spans an unbroken arc from the Gran Paradiso to Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.
