Monte Antola

Monte Antola rises as the high point of the regional park bearing its name, its broad grassy summit historically marking the boundary between several medieval feudal territories and now a popular target for Genoese day-trippers. Beech forest cloaks the lower approach before opening onto pasture grazed by cattle through summer. On exceptionally clear days the panorama stretches from the Ligurian Sea to the snow-capped Alps far to the north.
