Monte Accellica (1,660 m) is the highest peak of the Monti Picentini above Salerno. The summit limestone ridge gives views from the Gulf of Salerno to Avellino and on clear days to Capri and Vesuvius. Golden eagle nests on the crags. Wolf has been resident since 2010. The Gorge of the Acqua Bianca below the summit is a spectacular 200 m canyon.
