Modica — I Ponti e le Scale Belvedere

Modica was rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake spilling down both sides of a deep ravine, its upper and lower towns linked by soaring stone bridges and long flights of stairs. Climbing between the levels gives constantly changing views of the baroque churches stacked up the valley walls.
