Mazara del Vallo — Casbah & Lungomare

Mazara del Vallo's Casbah quarter keeps the narrow, winding street plan of its Arab past, still home to a sizeable Tunisian fishing community, with courtyards and low white houses unlike anywhere else on the Sicilian coast. The adjoining lungomare along the Mazaro river-harbour, lined with the town's fishing fleet, makes an easy flat walk back toward the Norman cathedral.
