Marocche di Dro

When the glaciers withdrew, whole mountainsides collapsed here, leaving square kilometres of tumbled white rock, dwarf pine and prickly pear that locals call "little Tibet". Marked walking and mountain-bike trails wind through it between Dro and Pietramurata, with the Sarca and the crags of the Sarche in view.
