Altopiano di Asiago — Malga Valpiana

The Altopiano di Asiago (1,000–1,400 m) above Vicenza was one of the most intense WWI battlefields in Italy. The Sacrario Militare di Asiago contains 54,000 WWI soldiers. The plateau has Cimbrian (Bavarian-derived) communities whose ancestors settled here in the 13th century — a Germanic dialect is still spoken. The high malga (alpine farm) circuit is flat and suitable for all dogs and families.
