Isola di Linosa Circuit
Sicily
Linosa is a small volcanic island 160 km south of Sicily in the Strait of Sicily — one of the most remote places in Italy. The island has almost no cars; the circuit path crosses three extinct volcanic craters. It is a critical nesting site for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) — one of the few remaining in Italian waters.
