Compared to the busier resorts further south, this stretch near the Volano branch of the Po Delta keeps a wilder feel, with dune vegetation and pine windbreaks running behind a wide sandy beach. It's a favourite for birdwatchers as well as beachgoers, since the nearby delta wetlands draw waders and terns that sometimes forage along the shoreline itself.
