Lago Santo Modenese & Lago Baccio

Lago Santo, the largest natural lake in the northern Apennines, sits at 1,500 m under Monte Giovo, with a refuge on its shore. A path climbs on to the smaller Lago Baccio and the ridge crossing toward Lago Scaffaiolo and the Tuscan side, through some of the finest beech forest in the range.
