Lago del Rio Torto (1,140 m) near Ramiseto in the Reggiano Apennines is a small peat bog lake — sphagnum, sedge and sundew (Drosera rotundifolia) in a montane mire unusual in the Emilia Apennines. Black-throated diver has been recorded in migration. Teal winter on the lake. The surrounding conifer plantation is being restored to native forest. Dogs welcome on the short circuit.
