From Saint-Jacques or the Frachey chairlift a path climbs through larch wood to Lago Litteran at around 2,100 m, a quiet pool grazed round by cattle with the whole east face of Monte Rosa filling the head of the valley. Loops continue to the Alpe Mandriou and the Palasina lakes.
