Lago di Tenno (570 m) above Arco in the Sarca Valley has water the colour of the Caribbean — turquoise from suspended glacial particles. The medieval hamlet of Canale sits on the shore with stone houses unchanged since the 14th century. Lake Garda is visible below. Olive trees grow down to the shore. The lake warms enough for swimming by June. Dogs welcome on the circuit path.
