Sentiero del Cuore, Lago di Scanno

Abruzzo's largest natural lake, dammed long ago by a landslide off Monte Genzana, is heart-shaped when seen from above. The waymarked Sentiero del Cuore climbs the wooded slope from the lakeside chapel of Sant'Egidio to the exact viewpoint, with benches and a big steel "heart" frame at the top.
