Lago di Pusiano, Brianza
Lombardy
Lago di Pusiano in the Brianza hills is one of Lombardy's least-known pre-alpine lakes — significantly quieter than Como or Maggiore. The lake circuit (7 km) passes through old fishing villages and chestnut forest. Black-necked grebe, great crested grebe and night heron breed on the lake. The water is clean enough for swimming in July–August. An antidote to the tourist crowds at Bellagio 15 km away.
