Riserva Naturale Lago di Posta Fibreno
Lazio
Fed by karst springs from the Marsica mountains, the Fibreno lake stays around 10°C year-round and is glass-clear over beds of watercress and trout. Its oddity is "La Rota", a floating raft of peat and reed roots that the wind moves about. A flat path and boardwalks follow the reedy east shore.
