Lago del Centro Cadore, Pieve di Cadore

The Lago del Centro Cadore (880 m) below Pieve di Cadore is a reservoir on the Piave river set between the Marmarole and Antelao massifs. Pieve di Cadore is the birthplace of the painter Titian (1490). The Antelao (3,264 m) reflected in the lake is one of the finest Dolomite panoramas in the Cadore. Kingfisher breeds on the lake shores; roe deer graze the margins at dawn.
