Lago di Piediluco

Lago di Piediluco lies at 368 m in a narrow valley hemmed by wooded hills — fed by the Velino river which drops over the Cascata delle Marmore 20 km downstream. The lake's northern shore is almost entirely natural; the medieval village of Piediluco clings to a promontory on the south side. The lake surface at dawn produces perfect mirror reflections of Monte Caperno. Rowing Italy trains here.
