Lago di Osiglia, Val Bormida

Osiglia is a 1930s hydro reservoir set among beech and chestnut hills near the Piedmont border, drawn down in winter but full and green in summer, when its little beaches and a lakeside bar draw locals to swim and picnic. A mostly flat path and quiet lanes follow the shore.
