The Parco dei Mulini on the Candigliano river tributary above Acqualagna preserves 11 historic water mills in a 5 km stretch — a UNESCO candidate industrial heritage site. Kingfisher inhabits every pool. Otter was confirmed in 2021. The Candigliano gorge below is part of the Gola del Furlo. The surrounding oak forest has white truffle (Tuber magnatum) — Acqualagna is Italy's truffle capital.
