Lago di Dobbiaco, Val Pusteria

Veneto

Lago di Dobbiaco sits at the watershed between the Rienz (draining to the Adriatic) and the Drava (draining to the Black Sea). The lake is shallow and reedy with a perfect Sesto Dolomites backdrop. The circuit path is flat and paved; electric boats are available for hire in summer. Black-throated diver (very rare in the Alps) has bred here. The lakeside bike path connects to the famous Pusteria cycle route.
