Lago di Corbara is a reservoir on the Tiber between Orvieto and Todi — less visited than either city but with exceptional views of both tufa (volcanic rock) plateaux. The walk along the lake shore passes through Sagrantino and Orvieto Classico wine estates. Orvieto's cathedral glitters on its tufa cliff in the afternoon light.
