Lago di Corbara (128 m) is a reservoir on the Tiber river below Orvieto — 12 km of calm water in a gorge of holm oak and maquis. Otter is confirmed throughout (tracks year-round). Osprey fishes regularly in spring and autumn. The vineyard town of Montecchio Valtiberina above has the Grechetto grape — one of Europe's oldest documented indigenous varieties. Dogs welcome on the shoreline path.
