Lago di Conza (543 m) in the Alta Irpinia is a reservoir on the Ofanto river. A pair of osprey have attempted to nest here in recent years — one of the very few nesting attempts in mainland southern Italy. Black stork regularly uses the lake in autumn passage. The surrounding hills have the characteristic Alta Irpinia oak-chestnut forest. Wild boar tracks on every muddy section of the lake circuit.
