Lago di Cingoli, Macerata
Marche
Lago di Cingoli (390 m) is a reservoir in the Marche hill country above Macerata. The dam crest gives a view over the Macerata Apennines and on clear days the Adriatic Sea is visible 40 km east. The village of Cingoli above the lake is called 'the Balcony of the Marche' for its panoramic position. Osprey and marsh harrier use the lake in migration. Wild boar prints everywhere on the circuit.
