Lago di Cingoli — Balcone delle Marche

Cingoli is called 'the Balcony of the Marche' for its position on a ridge at 631 m with a 270° panorama over the Apennines to the sea. Below the town, the artificial lake (created 1987) fills a valley in vivid green — completely disproportionately beautiful for such a small village. The lake shore has a marked walk through old olive groves and Roman-era field boundaries.
