Val di Gresta above Mori is Italy's most celebrated organic farming valley — the entire valley shifted to certified organic production in the 1970s, producing organic vegetables (especially potatoes and cabbage) at 700 m above Lake Garda. The farmland mosaic supports kestrel and common buzzard. The valley is bowl-shaped — little sun in winter, very sheltered. Red kite occasional. Dogs off-leash.
