Lago di Cei, Vallagarina
Trentino-Alto Adige
Lago di Cei sits on a forested shelf above Rovereto at 657 m — one of the few surviving natural lakes in the Adige valley. The lake is surrounded by pubescent oak forest and is one of the rare lowland natural habitats in Trentino. Bee-eaters breed in the surrounding sandy banks — the northernmost regular breeding colony in the Alps. The lake walk is flat, short and completely suitable for families and dogs.
