Lago di Cavazzo (Lago dei Tre Comuni, 195 m) near Tolmezzo is the only natural lake in Friuli — a glacial lake with clear water enclosed by Alpine walls. The circuit is 5 km. Golden eagle and common buzzard are regular overhead. Trout visible in the lake shallows. The Tagliamento gorge above the lake is extraordinary. Dogs welcome on the circuit.
