Lago di Carezza (1,519 m) in the South Tyrol below the Latemar massif is one of the most painted and photographed lakes in the Dolomites — a small emerald green lake that reflects the Latemar towers. The Ladin legend says a rainbow dropped into the lake, giving it its colour. The circuit is 3 km. The colour is caused by the mineral content of the spring that feeds the lake. Dogs welcome.
