Ariamacina is one of the smaller Sila lakes, at 1,340 m, with an undeveloped shoreline of black pine, larch and grazed clearings. A flat track and quiet road follow parts of the bank, and cattle and horses come down to drink — an easy walk in the high Sila plateau.
