Dammed in the 1960s, this narrow lake fills the Val del Mis gorge with startlingly clear green-blue water squeezed between steep wooded flanks. The visitor centre at Candaten marks the start of an easy path along the old road, good for spotting dippers and grey wagtails on the rocks below.
