Lago dei Tre Comuni (405 m) in the Friuli Prealps near Ampezzo is a glacial lake shared between three communes. Brown bear corridors from Slovenia pass through the forested hills above. The lake is crystalline — visibility 5+ m. Kingfisher and dipper on the inlet. The surrounding Dolomiti Friulane park is UNESCO territory. Almost no tourist infrastructure — very peaceful.
