Lago Champlong, Brusson

Lago Champlong near Brusson in the Ayas valley is a small but perfectly formed glacial lake at 1,527 m, encircled by larch forest. The lake warms enough for swimming in July. Golden eagles breed on the rocky ridge above and can often be seen circling over the lake. The lake circuit (3 km) is flat and dog-friendly and can be combined with the village of Brusson for lunch.
