Lago di Candia

Piedmont

Lago di Candia is the smallest of the Ivrea amphitheater lakes and the core of a regional nature park protecting one of Piedmont's last extensive lakeside marshes. Boardwalks and gravel paths thread through sedge and water-lily beds where coots, herons, and migrating waterfowl gather. A ruined medieval castle overlooks the water from the village of Candia Canavese.
