Lago Blu (1,403 m) near Brusson in the Évançon valley is a small peat bog lake with extraordinary aquatic vegetation — water lilies, sedge and sphagnum moss. The Monte Rosa massif is reflected in the lake on clear mornings. The surrounding fir forest has capercaillie. Black-throated diver has nested here. The lake is unusual in the Valle d'Aosta for its acid peat bog habitat. Dogs off-leash.
