Lago Arvo

Calabria

Ringed by the Nature Reserve of Fallistro's ancient giant pines and framed by the Sila's highest ridge, this lake is one of the plateau's most visited, with a paved lungolago path popular for gentle walks and cycling. Trout fishing is popular in the clear, cool water. The nearby village of Lorica makes a good base, with several trailheads branching into the surrounding pine forest.
