From the Terme di Valdieri a cobbled Royal Hunting road climbs in perfect graded switchbacks past Lago del Chiotas and the Laghi di Valscura to a high tarn under Cima di Fremamorta, with roofless stone barracks scattered across the plateau. One of the finest big walks in the Maritime Alps.
