Guardia Sanframondi holds Riti Settennali, an elaborate penitential procession involving much of the town's population, but only once every seven years — one of the more unusual living traditions in the Sannio. The surrounding hillsides, terraced with Aglianico del Sannio vines, offer easy farm-track walking the rest of the time.
