Grumentum & Lago del Pertusillo

Grumentum keeps a theatre, amphitheatre, forum and baths spread across an oak-dotted plateau, one of the best-preserved Roman sites in the south. Below it the Pietra del Pertusillo dam has flooded the valley into a long lake ringed by wooded hills and drinking spots for wildlife.
