Grotta di San Michele, Olevano sul Tusciano

A steep old path climbs the Tusciano gorge to a cave mouth 30 m high, inside which Lombard-era pilgrims built a cluster of small chapels with 9th–10th-century frescoes around a spring. It was a stop on the Michaeline pilgrim route between Mont-Saint-Michel and Monte Sant'Angelo.
