Grotta del Colle, Rapino

On the Costa le Solagne slope above Rapino, this cave has been excavated in layers reaching back to the Bronze Age, with Iron Age and Roman-era finds including the inscribed "Tabula Rapinensis" bronze plaque. A short path climbs from the village to the entrance at about 550 m, with the Maiella foothills opening out below.
