Grotta dei Bambocci

Local tradition gave this cave its name, bambocci, after the squat, puppet-like stalagmite shapes that formed in its main chamber over millennia of mineral deposit. It's a modest, easily walked cave compared to the larger systems in the region, making it a popular quick stop paired with a visit to the nearby Pozzo d'Antullo sinkhole. The surrounding Ciociaria countryside is known for its dense concentration of karst features.
