Grotta Cesare Battisti, Paganella

Grotta Cesare Battisti opens on the eastern flank of the Paganella above Val di Trementina, its entrances at 1,880 m and 1,698 m with over 2 km of surveyed passage. Named for the Trentino-born WWI irredentist executed in 1916, the accessible upper sections can be visited with a guide, while the lower galleries require full caving equipment and are for experienced speleologists only.
