Gouffre des Busserailles, Valtournenche

Just below Valtournenche the Marmore has cut a slot barely a metre wide in places, spinning boulders into deep round "giant's kettles". Wooden galleries and a bridge let you look straight down into the roaring chasm, discovered in 1865 by the Matterhorn guide Jean-Antoine Carrel.
