Villaggio Nuragico di Tiscali
Sardinia
The Villaggio Nuragico di Tiscali is a Bronze Age village hidden inside a enormous collapsed cave in the Supramonte of Dorgali — a natural limestone dome collapse left a protected hollow where a Nuragic community lived in relative secrecy. The site was used as a refuge (possibly to hide from Roman conquest). The access through the Supramonte gorge adds drama. Bonelli's eagle patrols the approach gorge.
