Gola del Corno

The Nera river tightens dramatically here, squeezing between limestone walls below Ferentillo's two hilltop hamlets, Precetto and Matterella, which face each other across the valley. Trails along the gorge rim offer views down to the river and up to the villages' fortified towers. The gorge marks one of the more scenic stretches of the wider Valnerina river park.
